FPA’s Sexual Health Week is running from 11 to 18 September 2017 and this year’s theme is Talking About Pornography.
They ran a survey earlier in the year about the messaging professionals would like to see around this area. Subjects such as body image, self-esteem, consent, communication and fantasy versus reality were the themes that came up most frequently. Their aim is to encourage open discussion around these topics as well as providing helpful tips for teachers, parents and health professionals.
They will be producing a poster and will also have a limited number of printed packs to distribute which can be ordered from the website while stocks last. They say on the website that these are for secondary schools, and preference will be given to secondary schools and youth groups, but they will also send to other organisations and will fulfil as many requests as possible.
