What is Quality Assurance?

Quality Assurance (QA) is the process by which relationships and sex education (RSE) can be assessed against evidenced based criteria within a continuous improvement cycle to ensure that the provision of RSE is of the highest possible standard. QA is already used across a number of professions, including business and health, in order to improve standards and ensure quality. In schools this is often done through subject reviews but RSE may not always be subject to these type of reviews so the QA processes have been created to fill this gap.

This section explores why quality assurance is important, what quality RSE looks like, how to ensure Quality RSE provision and improve practice.
