In November 2010, with funding from the then Strategic Health Authority a relationships and sex education advisory group was established in the South West. The advisory group represented statutory and non statutory organisations from across the South West and our aim was to strengthen Relationships and Sex Education provision across the South West and promote the need for consistent, high quality RSE that met the needs of all young people. With the available funding, the steering group founded the RSE Hub and commissioned a website and a number of other resource tools to support the delivery of the RSE Hub's aims.
The RSE Hub is now delivered in partnership with the social enterprise The Exchange Foundation and continues to be guided by an advisory group of statutory, non-statutory and independent specialists as well as supported by the Office for Sexual Health South West.
